Lamledge School Celebrates UK Parliament Week
Former MP David Wright Inspires Students at Lamledge School During UK Parliament Week On Monday, Lamledge School
During the last 6 weeks, our students have been working very hard to make costumes for our Halloween competition. Toni, our Art Teacher has worked incredibly hard to put together a task that encourages teamwork, creativity and sustainability. The brief was:
1. Create a mood board of ideas
2. As a team, draw and sketch out those ideas. Think about the details such as colours and materials and come to a group consensus
3. Decide who will wear the costume and model it on our very own Lamledge Catwalk
4. Start collecting materials to make your costume. Recycling materials is encouraged
5. Start to make the costume in your teams with the help of our teaching staff
6. Show your creation off at our Halloween Party and have fun!
I think it is safe to say all of our students excelled and met the brief wonderfully.
We invited parents and carers to the school to take part in our Halloween Party and we had judges who marked all of the costumes and decided on the prizes. The categories included; Best Teamwork, Best Catwalk, Best Costume and Best Makeup.
