Today, our pupils had the opportunity to take part in an engaging and informative careers talk delivered by Emily, Roger and George from McPhillips Wellington Limited.
The session gave students a valuable insight into careers within the construction industry. It explored the wide range of roles available within the company and challenged pupils to think differently through activities such as “Guess the Job”, which encouraged curiosity and discussion.
Students were also able to learn about the different pathways into these roles, including apprenticeships, college courses, and university routes. This helped to make future career options feel more accessible and achievable.
The feedback from both students and staff was extremely positive. The session was not only informative, but also interactive and engaging, helping pupils to build a clearer understanding of real world career opportunities.
