Today we had a number of visitors come and speak to our students. Sanchez Dillon from Jaguar Land Rover came in to speak about his career in their design team, as well as the pathways to his and his colleagues’ jobs. His engaging session then ended with an engineering challenge where pupils needed to build their own suspension bridges with cardboard, sellotape, straws and strings!
We also had a visit from Kyle and Elliott Bennett from 23 Alternative Provision. Not only did they give our students an insight into their lives as professional footballers, but also life after football and what path they have taken since retiring, and the skills needed to maintain these businesses. They finished off with a quick football session in the sports hall to see what the students had got with a ball at their feet!
